We’ll want to make sure our rehearsal is well clear of the snow. George and I will keep in touch and make an announcement no later than 2pm on Tuesday.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH… WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE REGION FROM STARTING LATE TUESDAY EVENING. THE SNOW MAY BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES ON WEDNESDAY… BEFORE SLOWLY TAPERING OFF WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
THE POTENTIAL FOR 6 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW EXISTS. AT THIS TIME THE HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE NEW YORK CITY METROPOLITAN AREA AND LONG ISLAND.
AS THE STORM INTENSIFIES… EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS WILL BECOME STRONG AND GUSTY DURING THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY. THIS WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW… WITH NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS POSSIBLE.

If you previously copied the calendar, you may have noticed a rehearsal on Sunday 9/27. That’s the eve of Yom Kippur, and George is not available. The rehearsal has been moved to Sunday 10/4.
First rehearsal is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22nd. George’s letter should be on it’s way soon! See you then!
You should have received a letter from George last week. If you didn’t, here is the most important news- rehearsals begin anew on Tuesday, February 17th at 7:30pm. St. Ann’s Convent is once again the location, and as always, we welcome newcomers. Bring your friends and help us put together another terrific season!
Temple Beth Torah is having a concert honoring George’s 30 years of service. The parish choir from St. Ann’s is singing two numbers at the concert.
